Protecting You Anywhere You Login Online With
Enhanced Login Security

Your online security is of utmost importance us.  If you're an online banking user, you will notice that we have an extra layer of security to protect you-Enhanced Login Security.

Enhanced Login Security is a free and easy way to help prevent fraud.  Sign up once and you're all set.  It's that simple-the next time you log in, it's business as usual, and the rest of your online experience will remain exactly the same.

Whether you're checking your balances from work, home or on vacation, Enhanced Login Security protects your identity from any computer you choose.

Superior Technology Means Maximum Security
This superior security technology protects your identity anywhere you log into RFCU's Online Banking.  It will identify you as the true "owner" of your accounts by recognizing not only your password, but your computer as well.  If your computer isn't recognized by us-if you've logged in from a public computer or one you haven't used before- we'll ask you a challenge question as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access.  Your identity is protected, and your peace of mind? At ease.

How To Enroll
When you log into Online Banking, you will be prompted to choose a Challenge Question and provide an answer.  Once your Challenge Question and answer are set up, you can enable Enhanced Login Security on your computer.

From the User Options, click on "Enhanced Login Security.  You will be given two choices-to add extra security protection to the computer or to remove that extra security.  When you select to add the extra security protection, a cookie is installed on the hard drive.  This cookie allows us to authenticate that it is from a location you have selected.  When this step is complete, you are done.

If you regularly access Online Banking from several computers (home, work, etc.), you will need to log into Online Banking, answer your Challenge Question, and follow the steps above to enroll each computer.

Please Note: You should not enable Enhanced Login Security from a location that is used by the general public (library).

Removing the Extra Security
You may choose to do this if you will no longer be logging in regularly on a particular computer, or if the computer is going to be donated or given away.  Simply go to the User Options, choose "Enhanced Login Security" and choose the appropriate option to remove the protection.  (Please note, that although the security protection has been removed from the computer, your Challenge Question and answer, and any other security set on your computer will remain intact.)
