Rockland Federal Credit Union

Important Information for RFCU Debit and Credit Card Holders

When a merchant data compromise occurs, Rockland Federal Credit
union is notified by Visa or MasterCard of any RFCU Credit or Debit
cards issued that may be affected.  This notification includes card
numbers and a possible window of exposure but it does not specify
merchant names or exact breach dates.
Upon notification of such
a breach, Rockland Federal Credit Union will notify any cardholders
who may have been affected by the merchant data compromise.

RFCU will notify members by mail of any compromises that occur. This
letter will indicate that a new replacement card and PIN (personal
identification number) have been ordered. The letter will also provide a
date by which the old card will be blocked. This will occur whether or not
the new card is activated. Therefore, to minimize any inconvenience it
is important to keep address information up to date.
However, if Rockland
Federal Credit union feels that fraud has occurred, or may possibly occur,
on a member’s old card it will blocked before the new card arrives.
