Membership Eligibility

Rockland Federal Credit is a community based credit union founded in 1922. You may qualify and become a member of Rockland Federal Credit Union if you:

• Live or work in Barnstable, Bristol, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth or Suffolk Counties
• Are an immediate family* member of an eligible or current member 

To be considered a member of Rockland Federal Credit Union we  ask that you open and maintain a minimum share balance of $5.00 or greater.

*Immediate family includes: spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent or grandchild.  The immediate family member need only live or work in one of the eligible counties in order for the person to join the Credit Union.  It is not necessary for the eligible family member to join the Credit Union. 

How to Open an Account 

We are pleased you have decided to open a new account or add a new service to your existing account. To begin the process, complete the New Account Application. Please provide all requested information. When you have finished, print the completed form and with an opening deposit of $5.00 or more, mail it to:

Upon receipt of your completed application and opening deposit, we will obtain clearance through a national check service or credit bureau agency. Once we receive clearance, we will open your account.
